Landing at St. Andrews CYAV (near Winnipeg)

Waterloo to Calgary in a Cessna 150

FZ Oscar is glad to visit St. Andrews again (his home base when
our son trained on helicopters at Portage La Prairie years ago),
and Werner is glad to avoid the busyness of Winnipeg air traffic.

Our departure from Wawa at 7:30 this morning seems eons ago!
As amazing as the scenery was this day, we are very happy to have
finally arrived --safely-- out of the wilderness, in the prairies, in the
next province, and past the halfway point to visiting our kids.
Werner spends some time going over weather and aviation details
at the Winnipeg Flying Club while I relax in the comfortable lounge.
We take a taxi past those lovely blue and yellow fields; the friendly
driver explains what's growing. Road signs bring all kinds of history
  to mind:
  - Gimli (Gimli "glider", 1983)
  - Fort Garry
  - Selkirk (Scottish settlers).
In Selkirk, we book a motel room, get a late supper at a restaurant
nearby, then settle down for a good night's sleep.

FZO refuelled and tied down, just in time before raindrops fall.
